vPlanner V2.0 is Released

This version introduces a number of new features and improves most existing features.

Notable additions include:

Go-Back Work Manager: This tool provides a practical solution to a common problem many teams face when using the Last Planner System.  Sometimes a production activity is complete enough to allow a clean handoff without interrupting production flow, however a few things may need to be done later to fully complete the original activity as originally stated.  vPlanner now includes a new status code: “Complete with Go-Back” where the go-back work is listed and associated with the original task. vPlanner will track all identified Go-Back work so that production managers can come back later and plan the go back work with the respective team members.  New metrics are also introduced to track and report on Go-Back activities as they may indicate opportunities for improvement.

Batch Commitment Mode: Multiple tasks can now be selected to update their status at once as Committed or Completed via keyboard shortcuts.  This speeds up the manual updating process significantly.  Users can still go back and manually modify the status of specific activities to handle exceptions before finalizing their plans.

Task Import Manager: this is a new tool for importing tasks from MS Project XML, Schedule Planner XML and other formats.  Selective import options are available and users can update imported tasks if their source tasks are updated.  This makes it possible to use vPlanner more efficiently for short term planning while maintaining a master schedule in another tool.

New Report Types: New reports are introduced for Notes and Decisions associated with tasks.  Items can be sorted, filtered, exported, and printed.

New Attribute Editors: New tools to manage the creation and editing of Task Attributes are introduced to simplify the management of those attributes.

Elastic Pay-Per-Use Subscription Manager: vPlanner V2.0 features a new pay-per-use subscription model that gives users total control over how to utilize the features of vPlanner to suit their project needs.  Existing project subscriptions are not affected by this change.  Existing users who are interested in the new subscription model should contact vPlannerSales@ghafari.com.

Other: High DPI awareness,  improved scaling on Windows 10, Docking support, Improved Printing, Improved PPC options (rollup by Week or Month), Improved export to Primavera P6, Improved Timeline view Printing and many more.
